Would you like to join me for a tour today? Let me show you around a sweet little village. It's one of my favorites.
First follow me through the green grassy fields...

and past old St Andrews Church

And into the village of East Hagbourne

It's lovely and perfect, don't you agree?

It's the sort of place where hens are kept in back gardens...

where moss grows on side walks...

where moss grows on side walks...

and every cottage has a name of its own.

This is the village cross (known as Upper Cross) and dates from the 15th century (thanks Wikipedia).

There are thatched cottages

timber framed cottages

and old brick houses

The main road is narrow and winding.

This hidden path runs along a tiny brook

In years past, it's won awards for "Best Kept Village" in Oxfordshire.

So what do you think of this magical place?

Tess can't see what all the fuss is about, she's just happy to get out of the house (and look... she's sporting the hat I knitted for her!)

Have a happy Monday dear friends!
p.s. Have you seen Sarah's photos from Wales? So gorgeous! Miles and I were supposed to go on that trip with them, but my dreadful cold kept us at home instead.

Absolutely lovely photos. You have such an eye for the details - love these! Although I'm partial to our village, I have to say that this one is just dreamy. And love baby girl peeking out of her stroller in her sweet hat. :)
